The owner of this home wanted to bring the urban feel of his city, San Francisco, into this 1920’s historic house. He went to Shelley Lober, CKD of Kitchens of Diablo for her expertise in West Coast kitchen design.

“The home has high ceilings and elaborate moldings that were incorporated into the design to create a traditional style with a clean simple design”, explained Lober.

To keep it classic, Shelley recommended Dura Supreme’s White painted finish with a dark “Java” stained kitchen island and dark hardwood floors for contrast.

The simple, flat panel doors help modernize the space, yet still work with the more traditional architectural elements of the home.

You would never guess this home was built in 1920! Shelley did an incredible job combining all of the traditional details with modern style to give a beautiful and functional facelift to this classic San Francisco home.
