Traditional Equestrian Inspired Kitchen, Family Room, and Laundry Room Renovation
Design and remodel by Andrew Michels of Michels Homes, Twin Cities MN.

This traditional horse ranch located in Minnesota desperately needed a remodel. The designer opened up the kitchen to the main living area creating an open floor plan while also capturing the rustic equestrian style the homeowners were hoping for. Equestrian is not only an interior design decorating style, but also a lifestyle that’s driven by horse racing, ranching, and old-fashioned fox hunts. This style focuses on the value of family, tradition, and craftsmanship.

This Equestrian styled remodel uses Dura Supreme Cabinetry throughout several rooms. The kitchen features the Chapel Hill Panel – Inset cabinet door style with a beaded frame, decorative barrel hinges, and optional solid slab drawer fronts. Perimeter cabinetry is finished in the Heritage “K” painted finish, and the kitchen island is painted Black with distressing and a rub-through finish. The living room and bar area showcase the Chapel Hill Panel full overlay door style in the Heirloom “O” finish on Knotty Alder. The laundry room features a custom door style in a Putty painted finish.
